Piou Piou     A one-week introduction to the snow and ski equipment at the "Club des Piou-Piou" (children's ski nursery)
Ourson     A "snaking"line of snowplough turns on an easy run of 4 and 5 poles. Includes a downhill traverse concludedby a snowplough turn.
Flocon    A serie or 7 o 8 snowplough turns with skis brought back to a parallel position between turns. Basic traverse across the slope following a more or less straight trajectory. demonstration of adequate balance by short downhill descent over uneven terrain.
1ère étoile     Series of elementary sideslip turns through a marked-out course on a moderately steep slope. Direct traverse with skis parallel, maintaining pressure on the skis' edges. Step turns on a gentle slope with skis across the fall-line to begin.

2ème étoile     Series of 10 correctly executed parallel turns through a marked-out course on a moderately steep slope.
Basic direct line passing over hollows and bumps. Basic skating step.

3ème étoile     Series of around 10 refined parallel turns through a marked-out course of 10 to 12 poles. Basic single garland and perfect accelerating traverse concluded by a braking sideslip, all on a moderatelt steep slope.

Etoile de Bronze     An untimed run assesingthe pupil's ability to perform perfected parallel turns with 2 changes of rythmes (short and medium radius turns). Basic scull or "godille". Passage through small bumps with slight take-off.
Etoile d’Or     A timed run through a short course of giant slalom. Complex series of broad and high-speed turns over unven terrains.

1er ski     familiarise myself with the equipment and the snow. Maintain balance while sliding over smooth terrain on a gentle slope. Controllingspeed using a "snaking" trajectory.
1er Degré     Basic downhill descent using snowplough turns, basic traversing, sideslipping and uphill step turns.
2ème Degré     Downhill descent using basic parallel turns, traversing, use of down pressure through edging. Skating step.
3ème Degré     Downhill descent using refined parallel turns, perfect traverse technique, broad and high-speed turns with correct vertical movement (crouch and extention)

ACCUEIL     Changing direction on both sides of the fall line. Elementary rounded turns.
Direct line facing down the slop, normal foot or fakie
1er Surf     Completion of elementary turns. Forwards and backwards sideslipping or fakie direct line traverse. Elementary swivel garland and flat hopping.
2ème Surf     completion of basic long-radius turns. Completion of basic short-radius turns and elementary fakie turns. Basic garland or basic ollie with the snowboard flat.

3ème Surf     Completion of series of long-radius turns. Completion of a serie of perfect short-radius turns and basic fakie turns. Perfect garland or 180° ollie.

Flocon     Stride and glide technique. Step turn on the flat. Sliding down a gentle slope ending in a sliding snowplough, taking the skiing envoronment
1ère Etoile     1rst degre traversing straight line. Sliding snowplough with braking. Skating step and step turn taking into account the skiing environment
2ème Etoile     Skating step with poles. Sliding snowplough and one skate. 2nd degre traversing straight line and elementary turn taking into account external factors.

Etoile d’Or     Completing a technical course over varied terrain including flat, descending and climbing sections at high speed, taking into account external factors (choice of technique)

Nordi-cross     NEw test createdin 2005 to replace the LIEVRE. Timed Nordic cross-country skiing over a mainly downhill course, interpersed with bumps, turns, flat sections, climbs and jumps, laid out over 600m(approximately 1'40'' for the best time, not including the forerunner)
